Do you feel useless and unproductive, having lack of purpose? Has your salt (purpose) lost its savour? Are you focusing on receiving instructions and helping others? Maybe there are too many distractions!
There is no peace.
The Message Bible version states it very clearly,
“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.” (Matthew 5:13)
Sometimes we just need a reminder that when our salt has lost its taste (purpose, strength, quality) that it can be restored.
Where has your salt lost its productivity?
Now is a good time to seek God on where you took a wrong turn, or spent too much time on someone or something that God told you to release.
God wants us to seek Him, the God of Peace, so that our purpose (saltiness) remains preserved. As we continue to seek Him, we remain kept safe from harm and productive in our actions.
This keeps us ready to season others with God’s wisdom, insight and love. Salty with tasty flavors and of good use to others.
